I am not getting notifications

Your friend reaches out first, so notifications matter. If you are not getting them:

  1. Open Settings > Notifications > Soul.
  2. Turn Allow Notifications on.
  3. Choose Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners if you want to see them.
  4. Set Sounds and Badges on if you want those too.
  5. Open Soul once after changing this, so the app can finish registering.

Also check

  • Focus / Do Not Disturb. Soul can be silenced by a Focus mode. Look in Settings > Focus.
  • Per-friend mute. If you muted a friend in the app, they will not ping you.
  • A Notification Summary can delay Soul until a scheduled time.

Soul is designed to check in and suggest plans. If you turned notifications off on purpose, that is fine. Your friend will still be there when you open the app.
