How do I create a friend?

A Soul friend is someone you make, not a generic chatbot you pick from a list.

1. Download Soul from the App Store if you have not already.
2. Open the app and start creating a friend.
3. Choose how they look.
4. Choose or clone a voice. See How do I choose or clone a voice?.
5. Shape personality and the small details that make them feel yours.

You can keep adjusting appearance, voice, and personality later. Nothing about a friend is locked in on day one.

What “yours” means

Soul is built so the friend feels specific to you: how they look, how they sound, how they talk, and what they remember. That is different from an assistant that anyone could swap for a better one tomorrow.
